About International Trauma Life Support
The ITLS Provider Course provides 8 hours of didactic instruction, 8 hours of hands-on skills training, and testing for ITLS Basic or Advanced certification. With its comprehensive approach to core knowledge and skills, ITLS Provider is appropriate for all emergency care providers —from EMT-Bs and first responders to advanced EMTs, paramedics, trauma nurses, and physicians.

Renewal Process
To recertify, providers must successfully complete a 1-day Recertification course or the full 2-day Provider course. (Chapter and Training Centre requirements for these options may vary.)
