About Advanced Trauma Life Support
The Advanced Trauma Life Support® (ATLS®) program can teach you a systematic, concise approach to the care of a trauma patient. First introduced in 1978, ATLS has now been taught to more than 1 million clinicians in more than 80 countries around the world.
ATLS Traditional Course
- Teaches medical core content in an interactive, in-person format
- Ranges from 2 to 2.5 days in length
- Hands-on skills sessions in simulated trauma settings
- Successful completion status valid for 4 years from course date
ATLS Hybrid Course
- Teaches medical core content in an interactive, online format
- 1.5 days in length
- Hands-on, in-person skills sessions in simulated trauma settings
- Successful completion status valid for 4 years from course date
ATLS Refresher Course
- Provides physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) the opportunity to maintain a current status
- Only eligible to current ATLS verified clinicians
- Ranges from .5 day or 1 day in length, will skills practice.
- Content overview, written and practical tests included
